The boys at Dorado are getting ready to unveil an amazing new fishing machine – the Dorado 246. If you’re an avid fisherman or even just a boating enthusiast, then you’ve definitely heard of the Dorado line of custom boats that has been anchored by the flagship Dorado 23. Simply put, it’s been the long time original that other manufacturers have tried to duplicate. The Dorado 23 is surely one of the most widely recognized boats on the west coast of Florida, among guides and avid fisherman. Pro anglers like Mike Anderson, from the Reel Animals Fishing Show, Mike Manning with Action Fishing Adventures, and many others are proud to call Dorado their boat of choice.

So, Dorado had a real challenge when they set out to improve on one of the most impressive custom boats already on the water? Well, it wasn’t easy, but it looks like the team at Dorado has done it again. The “word on the water” is that the crew at Dorado is in the final stages of preparations to release this great new model, The Dorado 246. If you’re at all familiar with the Dorado 23 you already know about its many excellent characteristics including their quality, performance, and durability. What you probably did not know was that, over the last few years, Dorado’s team has been listening to its loyal customer base to improve on the already great 23 and come out with an absolute game changer… the all-new Dorado 246!

Instead of just slapping together a few sketches and building a knockoff of what they already have, Dorado decided to take a smarter approach. Dorado set out to design the new boat from scratch based on their proven successes and customer feedback. The guys at Dorado went to great lengths to discover every like and dislike about their existing boats and then they used that information to design the best Dorado yet. This information has allowed the team at Dorado to create designs that will not only have the great performance capabilities that they have always been known for, but also offer unrivaled comfort and convenience.

Every inch of this boat has been designed to provide ease of use, convenient access, and unbelievable style, while keeping maintenance to an absolute minimum. The choice of every part has been individually selected with careful attention to reliability, convenience and low maintenance. While this new design will be even more family friendly, it will still maintain the most important feature of every Dorado; ultimate fish-ability.

Like every model that Dorado builds, the 246 will be completely customized to meet each client’s needs. Dorado only sells factory direct because they want to develop a personal relationship with clients and build them a boat that is tailored to meet their every need. I think we’ve all heard the saying “there’s no perfect boat”… well, there’s a real chance that Dorado may have just proven that statement false with their new Dorado 246.

Dorado has also redesigned their website! Just like Dorado’s new 246, the team at Dorado has decided to re-invent their website as well. They are creating a more notable site that is informative and modern; appropriate to represent Dorado’s elite status in custom boat building. Some of the features they will be introducing on the new site include a more interactive platform complete with galleries where customers can show off pictures of their own Dorado, as well as an online store – giving boat owners the ability to purchase anything from replacement parts for your Dorado, to the newest Dorado gear. Dorado wanted to truly create a place for their loyal customers to not only get information about their boats, but to be able to keep up with Dorado and what they are doing as a company.
